Your donation dollars at work for TH&VS students: Currently, your contributions enable the Alumni Association to award annually at the Graduation Ceremonies in June over $9,000.00 in scholarships and bursaries to Timmins High graduating students. Your donations have also supported the purchase of audiovisual equipment, athletic equipment such as hockey jerseys and funded significant improvements to the sound system of the Timmins High theatre.
DONATIONS Donate to support the school. Your contribution allows us to continue our work supporting Timmins High students through the scholarship and bursary funds and assisting in restoring the school. There are other ways that alumni can assist the school and the quality of the educational experience for Timmins High students. For example, a former student, acting as an executor of an estate, may wish to enable a significant gift of art supplies and books to be given to the Fine Arts Department. Another alumni member may wish to donate a piece of equipment to the Technology program. The Timmins High Alumni Association is a registered non-profit organization and has charitable tax status. This means that a tax receipt can be issued for tax purposes for any donation that is made to the Association.
How do you donate? All you have to do is click the "donate online now" in the textbox to the right And follow the instructions. All information you enter is strictly confidential and securely protected.
How do you get a tax receipt? Donations made through our website using PayPal are treated the same way as regular charitable donations. Usually within minutes of successfully completing a donation, the donor receives an e-mail notification. Rest assured that the funds you donate are promptly deposited in the bank account of the Timmins High Alumni association. PLANNED GIVING In addition to annual donations, planned giving provides another way that you can contribute to Timmins High. In planning your estate, it is possible to create significant tax advantages through a charitable donation to the Alumni Association. Your estate planner, lawyer or financial planner can explain the benefits of this type on contribution. Larger donations can also be used to create a special fund that can be used to fund a specific scholarship or other activity in the school.
