Ted Tichinoff
Ted Tichinoff is the Chair of the Alumni Association. He has many memories of student life at Timmins High but in particular he remembers in 1974 almost drowning in a puddle on the football field in Iroquois Falls but surviving to win the game. Ted went on to become a lawyer and has been practicing law with Evans, Bragagnolo & Sullivan since 1982. He and his wife, Elodie, have three children.
Brian Jones, Treasurer

Brian Jones
Brian is a life-long resident of Timmins, returning in 1982 after earning a Bachelor of Commerce and attaining his Chartered Accountant designation. He and his wife Debbie have 3 children. Personal time includes cottaging at Kenogamissi, playing in the Timmins All Star Big Band, travel and photography. Brian was a founding director of Timmins Community Police Liaison Committee and is also involved as a director or volunteer with several local organizations as well as a participant in a number of charitable programs.
Ralph Carr

Ralph Carr

Ralph has always been a booster of TH&VS and his participation as a student on the Blues football team remains one of the highlights of his life.  He remembers his Grade 11 experience very well, in that he achieved an 80% final average, including the final marks of two years combined. He became a lawyer, and then a Judge in Timmins in the Ontario Court of Justice, dealing with criminal & family cases. He and his wife Diane have five daughters, all of whom excelled in the programs at TH&VS.

Mark Toffanello

Mark Toffanello

Mark joined the Timmins High Alumni Association Board in 2006. A member of the TH&VS Blues senior football team in 1971, Mark has always been a big supporter of the TH&VS Blues. Mark’s father, Bruno was an Auto mechanic teacher and Technical Director at Timmins High for many years. Mark’s business, Toffanello’s Pasta, is well-known in the City of Timmins for its quality food & friendly service. He and his wife, Mary, have three children.

Ross Clausi

Ross Clausi

Ross attended TH&VS in the 1950’s and returned after university to join the history department of TH&VS in 1965. His wife, Peggy, also attended TH&VS, graduating in 1958. Ross was a key organizer for the 1980 Homecoming Reunion and for Homecoming 2000. He was a founding member of the Alumni Association, recognizing a need for celebrating the traditions of TH&VS in a concrete and practical way. He continues to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Barb Reid

Barb Reid

Barbara (Baleck) attended TH&VS and was very active in extracurricular activities becoming Head Girl in 1972-73. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Reid. Currently she is a Nurse Practitioner at Northern College, having earned a Masters’ degree along the way. Barb goes out for dinner regularly with nine of her former TH&VS classmates. Her three sons all attended TH&VS, two choosing to make a career in teaching.

Lynne Ferrari

Lynne Ferrari

Lynne (Stonehouse) was a member of the 1973 graduating class at TH&VS where she had been extensively involved in extracurricular activities. Her TH&VS peer group of nine including Monica Pickens, Glenda Laine, Mary Priest, Barb Baleck, Bonnie Wilson, Roslyn Forsyth and Sue Sangster, have continued to be a very close over the years. She has been a member of the TH&VS Parents’ Council for 8 years. She & husband, Louis Ferrari, have 2 children, Patricia & Tom.

Wendy Adams

Wendy Adams (Chair)

Wendy and her husband Steve moved to Timmins in 1969 to begin careers in teaching at Timmins High & Vocational School. During a long career in education as teacher of Family Studies, vice principal and principal, she served on many local, regional and provincial committees including the Ontario Principals’ Council. She joined the Timmins Community Safety Committee Board of Directors in 2002. Wendy retired as Principal of TH&VS in June 2005, and joined the Board of Timmins High Alumni Association. Wendy & Steve have 2 children, John & Sara.

Don Wyatt

Don Wyatt

Don attended Timmins High in the 1970’s and played on the Timmins High Blues football team. He was also elected to Students’ Council and served as President of the Hi-Y Club. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Don returned to Timmins to open a retail business. Currently, Don is a successful retail businessman in Timmins and a big booster of TH&VS. His wife, Lynn Ceaser, also graduated from TH&VS in 1973. They have two children.

Don Wyatt

Barry Peterson, Treasurer
Barry attended TH&VS from 1961 to 1966, and played Junior and Senior Football. Barry attained the Certified General Accounts (CGA) designation and spent 32 years in education administration with the Cochrane-Iroquois Falls, Black River-Matheson Board of Education and the amalgamated District School Board Ontario North East, retiring from the position of Superintendent of Business and Finance and Treasurer on December 31, 2009. “It certainly was an honor to become Superintendent of Business and Finance and Treasurer for the amalgamated Board and be able to support TH&VS”. He is married to another alumnus, Caroline Smyth and has two children, Tanya and Greg
Don Wyatt

Adam Lake
Adam graduated from Timmins High in 2000 and went on to post-secondary studies in philosophy at University of Ottawa and the University of Western Ontario.  He worked out on the oil rigs in Alberta for 3 years before returning home to Timmins. The Lake family and The Porcupine Advance have a long association with TH&VS over three generations beginning with his grandfather Mert, his father John, as well as Adam, and his 2 siblings, Jonathan & Kathryn. Adam is currently employed as a financial advisor at Sun Life in Timmins.
