The TH&VS Alumni Association is committed to enhancing excellence in education by pursuing private funding support for meaningful school wide needs and priorities in the hopes of maximizing the intellectual, academic, athletic, social & spiritual needs of each student.
The Timmins High & Vocational School Alumni Association was established in 1999 by a group of interested and active alumni and former staff members of TH&VS. Following a most successful TH&VS Reunion in August 2000, the organizing committee directed all of the net profits to the Alumni Fund. The group is responsible for the growth and income disbursement of the funds received yearly by the alumni association. With input from the staff and administration, the collective mission of the association is to attract and maximize private funding support for a wide range of needs for the students and the school.A Board of Directors is responsible for the growth and income disbursement of the funds receive. Individuals currently on the Board of Directors include:

John Sullivan, the current Principal of TH&VS, has an advisory role on the Board.
The Alumni Association helps keep the connection to TH&VS alive by:
- Producing an annual newsletter.
- Maintaining a website for TH&VS alumni.
- Supporting school reunions.
The Association also helps Timmins High & Vocational School and its students by:
- Funding approximately $10,000 in scholarships and bursaries annually.
- Providing funds for special projects such as upgrading audiovisual equipment in the theatre and the classrooms, and supporting on-going school programs and activities.
What Can You Do?
- Register online with the Association. It brings the newsletter, news about Homecoming and pride in supporting your school.
- Donate to support the school. Your contribution allows us to support TH&VS students through the scholarship & bursary funds and assist with the school’s programs and services.
When is the next reunion?
The date has been set! Plan to attend the TH&VS Homecoming during civic holiday weekend, August 3 to 5, 2012. A key event during the City of Timmins centennial year, more that 2,000 alumni is expected to attend the Homecoming and renew friendships. The last two reunions were very successful and this one is expected to be even better. Check the website for developments:
